We sell one thing: a padded, waterproof car seat that gives a dog a defined place to travel. Four sizes, five colours, and a straight answer about what it does and does not do.
Why four sizes and not two
Most brands in this category sell two sizes and let the customer work it out. That is how people end up with a Cocker Spaniel in a seat built for a Labrador, or a Frenchie sliding around in something twice their size.
Dogs do not come in two sizes. We make Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large, because a 15 lb Bichon and a 90 lb German Shepherd need genuinely different products - and because the wrong size is the single biggest reason a dog refuses to use a car seat at all.
We also publish the internal dimensions in inches and centimetres, and a method for measuring your own back seat, rather than vague breed lists. Our size guide takes two minutes.
What we will not say
There is no federal safety standard for dog car restraints in the United States. No equivalent of the child-seat rule. That means anyone can print "crash tested" on a box, and plenty do.
So here is our position, stated once and stated plainly:
Our car seats are comfort and containment seats. They are not crash-tested restraints, and we do not claim they are.
What they do is keep your dog in one defined place at window height, stop them climbing into the front, keep fur and mud off your upholstery, and give an anxious or carsick dog walls to brace against and a view out. Every seat ships with an internal safety lead, and it should always be clipped to a harness - never a collar.
We would rather tell you that and keep the customer than invent a certification and lose them at the first return.
What is in the box, honestly
- A water-resistant outer shell that wipes clean. Not "indestructible". It is fabric.
- A removable, reversible cushion - plush one side, smooth waterproof the other.
- Two adjustable straps that loop your headrest posts. If your rear headrests do not lift, strap-mounted seats will not tension properly - check before you buy.
- Internal safety leads: one on the Small and Medium, three on the Large and Extra Large, so two dogs each get their own anchor.
- A non-slip base and a carry handle, because the seat is also a bed at home.
- REACH and California Prop 65 compliant materials. Your dog sleeps on this thing.
It ships compressed. Fluff the cushions, leave it a few hours, and it takes its full shape.
Free returns, and we mean it
Free shipping in the US and free returns for 30 days. Used, washed, chewed on - it makes no difference to us. If your dog will not settle in it, we would rather take it back than have it sit in a garage. The details are on the shipping and returns page.
Where to start
Measure your dog nose to tail and add four inches. Measure across your back seat between the door panels. Then pick:
- Small and Medium - dogs up to about 35 lb
- Large and Extra Large - bigger dogs, or two dogs together
Not sure? Tell us your dog's breed and weight and the car you drive on the contact page and we will tell you which one - including if the answer is neither.
