Most dogs don't hate the car. They hate sliding around in it with nothing to brace against and nothing to look at. This gives your dog a raised, padded place of their own - strapped to your back seat or dropped in the trunk, lined in soft sherpa, and ready to lift out as a bed the moment you get home.

Not sure it will fit? Open your back door and measure across your back seat, from one door panel to the other. If that number is bigger than the size you want, it fits. That is the whole test.
And on your dog: when you are between two sizes, take the bigger one. Dogs settle faster when they have room to turn around.
Three internal leads, not two
Three separate clips sit on the cushion, so every dog gets their own anchor point and nobody gets tangled. Most seats in this category give you two. Clip them to your dog's harness, never their collar.

Why your dog should not ride loose
An unrestrained dog is a distraction, and several states treat it that way. New Jersey requires pets to be restrained, with fines from $250 to $1,000. Hawaii and Rhode Island have their own rules. And Arizona, Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Washington D.C. can cite an unrestrained pet under distracted-driving laws.
Always clip your dog's harness to one of the internal leads. This is a comfort and containment seat. It is not a crash-tested restraint.

Questions we get asked
Do two large dogs really fit in the Extra Large?
Yes. It is 47.2 inches across, with three internal leads so nobody gets tangled. Two large dogs ride side by side.
Will it fit my car?
If your back seat has headrest posts, yes - the two straps loop over them and pull tight. It also sits straight in the cargo area of an SUV. Measure across your back seat between the door panels and compare it to the chart above.
What is an internal lead?
A short strap inside the seat with a clip on the end. You clip it to your dog's harness, not their collar. It keeps them where they are supposed to be and stops them climbing into the front. This seat has three.
My dog gets carsick. Will this help?
Usually. Most carsick dogs are down in the footwell with no view and nothing to brace against. This lifts them to window height inside a padded space. Give it two or three short trips before you judge.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the outside with a damp cloth - it is waterproof. The sherpa cushion lifts out and goes in the machine. Air dry.
Is it safe for puppies and older dogs?
Yes. The padded base is easy on joints and the raised sides stop a puppy scrambling around while you drive.
How long does it take to install?
Two minutes, no tools. Loop the straps over the headrests, pull them tight, clip your dog's harness to a lead.
Can I use it at home?
That is half the point. Unclip the straps, carry it inside by the handles, and it is a dog bed.
What if my dog hates it?
Send it back within 30 days and we refund you. Used, washed, chewed on - it does not matter.
